It doesn't matter if you are a man or a woman, if you're starting to notice thinning hair or gradual baldness taking place, you're going to do something about it.

What you choose to do about it is the determining factor that will make or break your ability to regrow hair. There is always some new treatment for hair loss to hit the scene and grab your attention. Keep in mind that there are only two FDA approved medications for treating baldness.

Minoxidil and Propecia are the only two that have been clinically proven by the FDA as an effective means of stimulating hair growth. Not to worry though, there are several others not approved, yet they will serve the purpose of fighting hair loss.

One of them that many are starting to see results from are the various herbal supplements and minerals aimed at preventing hair loss and regrowing lost hair. I've found that much of my success with being able to fill in my hairline has been contributed to the use of these herbs.

Just what are some you might be wondering? Well saw palmetto is definitely one that you've probably heard about. Many people hear about saw palmetto and they automatically say "that's the stuff that men take to protect their prostates". Yes that's true, but for those of us who are wanting to avoid the Mr. Clean look, we take it daily to block a damaging hormone that leads to baldness.

This hormone is dihydrotestosterone and it is a waste product of testosterone. You see when testosterone levels die down in men, they deplete into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). If you take 1,500 mg per day of saw palmetto extract, you will be well on your way to controlling DHT levels within your body.

It's not a new treatment for hair loss or anything like that, yet it's almost always overlooked by many who are struggling to at least stop hair loss.

Here's a little tip that I'm going to give you about the true benefits of scalp massage. If you just massage your scalp each day for 15 minutes with your fingertips, you will be promoting hair growth. Don't believe me? Here's why this is so.

When you massage your scalp you're stimulating scalp pores and causing your hair follicles to receive blood flow that they need in order to produce hair. Doesn't seem like you're doing much but if you just spend a little time doing this each day, you will begin to notice some incredible results.

A new hair loss treatment will always be circulating the media. If you learn to stick to one specific method, or product that's proven to work, you will stay on top and be happy with your new hair.
